Meet Kate
I moved to Spain almost 20 years ago with a degree in Spanish and Cultural Studies, later earning my Master’s in Educational Management from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. What started as a post-college move turned into a full life in Barcelona — and two decades later, I’m still here, with a 5-year-old son, fluent in three languages, and officially that person people call when they need help navigating life in this city.
I worked at language academies and international schools in different capacities for 15 years, before opening my own English-language family space in the Sant Gervasi neighborhood in Barcelona. We ran classes, meetups and events, with a mix of expats and locals trying to raise their kids in a way that felt connected. And somewhere between hosting playgroups and answering school questions, I became the go-to for everything from finding a pediatrician to translating at lawyer appointments.
That’s when I realized: families didn’t just need a class. They needed real, human support from someone who understands both the logistics and the emotional weight of living in a place that doesn’t work like your home country.
So I turned that into a business that is built on community. I don’t just send you off to random providers. Every service is built on relationships I’ve been cultivating for years — the people I’d send my own friends to. The goal? Make your life easier. Whether you’re registering your kid for school, getting your CAP card, or just trying to make sense of a rental contract that makes no sense.
This isn’t an impersonal corporate service.
It’s personal, it’s tailored — and it’s built on actually understanding what it takes to make Spain feel like home.
